As the designer of DOLLY, I am always searching for inspiration—things that move me and spark emotion. I am fascinated by what is happening in the graphic and creative world today. AI is rapidly conquering the world, creating extraordinary images and videos. When used in the right way, I find it truly magical. The possibilities seem endless.
At the same time, I grew up in a classic, artistic environment. As a Gen X creative, I have a deep love for the “old-fashioned” and the handmade. Perhaps even more so now that AI is everywhere. In this new era, something created by hand feels more special than ever. Painting with a real brush is pure WYSIWYG—what you see is what you get. Honest, tangible, and real.
As a child, I was always drawing and painting, a passion that only grew stronger when I went to fashion school. I loved fashion sketching and model drawing even more than designing or making garments. I have always admired designers with a strong, recognizable handwriting. One of my greatest icons is Karl Lagerfeld—his fashion sketches had a signature style that was instantly identifiable. During my years at fashion school, my own signature style naturally began to emerge as well.

For the past decade, I have spent several months each year in my home away from home—Andalusia, in the south of Spain. It is a place where my mind fills with ideas and my creativity flows freely. With my head full of stories waiting to be brought to life, I picked up new sets of paintbrushes and began painting again.

I started creating characters and building a world around my DOLLY brand—a universe where imagination leads the way. From this world, new DOLLY products will emerge, and the DOLLY story will continue to grow. These creations are inspired by the things I loved most as a very young child—the moments where my own imagination first began.
